Why voters need to hear GOP candidate Buddy Roemer

Posted on 05 January 2012

by Patrick Wood
Buddy Roemer is the stealth GOP candidate for president, and it’s likely that you have never heard of him, much less his campaign platform.

Unfortunately, he is currently more media-transparent than Ron Paul was in 2011.

What makes Buddy Roemer different and why should you care?

First and foremost, Roemer is the only candidate who correctly connects the dots between lost American jobs and disastrous “free trade” policies that have dismantled virtually all protective trade tariffs over the years.

Secondly and closely related, he is the only candidate who correctly connects the dots between corrupt campaign finance practices and bad economic policies that brought us the above problem in the first place.

As such, Roemer will only take donations up to $100 per person. No PAC, Super PAC, bank or corporate money is accepted. He refuses to be bought-in-advance by anyone who expects favors in return.

Where are the other GOP candidates on these issues? Nowhere. Every other candidate is thoroughly free trade-oriented, including Ron Paul.

I have written about failed free trade policies and the undermining of American prosperity for over 30 years. Almost all of these policies were introduced by a small group of self-interested global elitists in business, banking, government and academia. I can testify with some authority that these policies are at the very root of the current global economic and financial crisis, as well as our own.

Tens of thousands of companies have gone to China, India, Mexico and elsewhere to exploit cheap labor. As a result, millions of good-paying American jobs have been permanently lost. What, did you really think this all happened by accident?

  • Why are millions of Americans out of work? Look no further.
  • Why is the American middle class losing its shirt? This is it.
  • Why are people and government drowning in debt? Yep, same issue.

It should be perfectly clear to anyone who studies these issues that the only road to economic, financial and employment recovery is to reverse course on trade policies designed to plunder America and kick the corrupted political financier/lobbyists out of Washington politics. Do this and we would instantly put our nation back on the road to recovery!

Mr. Politician, this means… don’t take their money and they won’t own you. It means… leveling the playing field by slapping tariffs on imported goods, especially from countries who are sucking the economic life out of us. Again, Roemer is the only candidate who gets it.

If these issues are not addressed now, there is no saving America. Period. Except for Buddy Roemer, all the other candidates are just wasting their time and ours, shining the brass railings on the passenger deck while our ship is still hemorrhaging below the water line.

Listen to Roemer for yourself at his official campaign website. It won’t cost you more than $100 if you like him, because that’s the maximum he will accept from anyone. Lastly, why not ask your favorite candidate what they intend to do to fix America’s economic blight.

  1. A systematic ‘fractal’ (can be divided and multiplied at any level) approach is found within humanity’s long-time (100s of thousands of years) universal worldwide ‘indigenous’ (Latin = ‘self-generating’) heritage. The Economic Democracy found in the Multihome dwellings, time-based String-Shell Accounting and Production Societies of First Nations enabled each and every person to be part of a culture of progressive ownership, collective intelligence and decision-making. In order to address the ‘colonial’ difficulties we are presently experiencing as our ‘exogenous’ (L = ‘other-generated’) vision of wealth and abundance comes crumbling down around us, we need to understand the indigenous model. You are right that all these candidates are shining the ship’s deck brass, while the rupture is below the surface. Actually like the Titanic ship, if humanity doesn’t back up our engines and try to leave the iceberg, it will physically support the ship’s weight and maintain us while we steer towards shore. In the meantime it is extremely important that we harness our energy, our unity and our collaboration for life in our indigenous tradition. http://www.indigenecommunity.info Read about humanity and nature’s strengths while we still have time!

“Sustainable development” and “save the planet” are the rallying cries of global fascism. The green movement is a total lie but is cleverly being used to great advantage by the globalists just like the OWS circus. The media and the major candidates are all puppets of the shadow government and we can be certain that the one they want in office will be the one who gets elected. The only suprised ones will be the sleeping sheeple who are ever locked into their tv created and controlled reality. We will never really have a choice unless we see the game and manipulation for what it is. But this is the age of deception. Check out hourofthetime.com. One of he best sources for truth on the internet. And may God save our republic.

    Patrick,
What about Rocky Anderson who has announced he is running for President under the newly formed Justice Party.

What do you think about him? What about his chances.

He too will only take $100 from individual donors and claims he is running due to the corruption and deviation from our Constitution, Bill of Rights and lack of concern for Human Rights.

Rocky Anderson is the former Democrat mayor of SLC,Ut. (where I’m from). There isn’t a tax hike anywhere that he wouldn’t greet with open arms.If you love the idea of spending without any restraints, and government control of every aspect of your life ‚then he’s your candidate.

Read The Case against the Global Economy, J. Mander and E. Goldsmith, Sierra 1996. We are doing the exact opposite of what we should do. This old book makes a very poweful case opposing our trade policies. It is a thick book with a great deal of detail. The present Great Recession could very well be due to ignoring the principles Mander and Goldsmith make. If we want to have a serious discussion, mention their points and why you disagree.

What we are doing is irrational. See the new book Rational Thinking, Government Policies, Science, and Living. Rational thinking starts with clearly stated principles, continues with logical deductions, and then examines empirical evidence to possibly modify the principles.

  6. Terry says:

This is what is stated on Ron Paul’s website:

    The Ron Paul FREEDOM PRINCIPLES

Rights belong to individuals, not groups.
Property should be owned by people, not government.
All voluntary associations should be permissible — economic and social.
The government’s monetary role is to maintain the integrity of the monetary unit, not participate in fraud.
Government exists to protect liberty, not to redistribute wealth or to grant special privileges.
The lives and actions of people are their own responsibility, not the government’s.

“All voluntary associations should be permissible– economic and social.”

Is there a problem with trade being a voluntary association AKA free trade? Are you suggesting that we should have controlled trade with tariffs galore so that we can generate tariff wars? Sounds like a return to the mercantilism of Great Britain.

Rather see the government get out of the business of business and repeal about 80% of the regulations that are costing our businesses over $1.2 Trillion a year as summarized in the Ten Thousand Commandments report issued by the CEI. And also see the US withdraw from the UN based WTO which overrides the US Constitution and our Congress.

BTW your candidate has a snow balls chance in hell of getting noticed. Your time would be better spent supporting Ron Paul who at least adheres to his oath of office and offers a real viable alternative to the bankster owned candidates.

    Ashley —

Rocky Anderson imho is a socialist and an opportunist. I think he would be thrilled to be on the Trilateral Commission if he could be. He is essentially a Green party advocate. He attends every environmental conference he can and is devoted to every environmental issue regardless of cost or impact to people. Agenda 21 is definitely his friend. I doubt he would recognize the Constitution if it hit him in the face.

Clearly Roemer doesn’t have a chance. I like Ron Paul, who at least believes in the Constitution and is willing to abide by it. I have to agree that Free Trade must be looked at as a secondary issue to the corrupting influence of the Federal Reserve. I have an open mind about free trade vs. tariffs, but unless we get rid of the Fed (and preferably fractional reserve banking as well)and return to Constitutional money, everything else is meaningless.

The Free Traders are all heavily influenced by the international banking elite, who sit on their boards. Cut off the banksters and you have a shot at introducing legislation that will restore fiscal sovereignty.

It is the collective effect of purposeful and amoral manipulation that seeks to centralize economic, political, technological and societal forces in order to accrue maximum profit and political power to global banks, global corporations and the elitists who run them. It is rapidly moving toward an full and final implementation of Technocracy.

Founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Commission set out to create a “New International Economic Order”, namely, Technocracy. The original membership consisted of elitists (bankers, politicians, academics, industrialists) from Japan, North America and Europe. Collectively, they have dominated and controlled trade and economic policy in their respective countries since at least 1974.

Technocracy is a movement started in the 1930′s by engineers, scientists and technicians that proposed the replacement of capitalism with an energy-based economy. Originally envisioned for North America only, it is now being applied on a global basis. Authors Aldous Huxley and George Orwell believed that Technocracy would result in a Scientific Dictatorship, as reflected in their books, “Brave New World” and “1984“.

Smart Grid is the national and global implementation of digital and Wi-fi enabled power meters that enable communication between the appliances in your home or business, with the power provider. This provides control over your appliances and your usage of electricity, gas and water.

Hubbert was a geo-physicist who co-founded Technocracy, Inc. in 1932 and authored its Technocracy Study Course. In 1954, he became the creator of the “Peak Oil Theory”, or “Hubbert’s Peak” which theorized that the world was rapidly running out of carbon-based fuels. Hubbert is widely considered as a “founding father” of the global warming and green movements.

A pioneer in global ecological theory, Fuller (1895  –  1984) was the first to suggest the development of a Global Energy Grid that is today known as the Global Smart Grid. Fuller is widely considered to be a “founding father” of the global green movement, including global warming, Sustainable Development, Agenda 21, etc.

The Venus Project, founded by Jacque Fresco, is a utopian, modern-day iteration of Technocracy. Like Technocracy, it scraps capitalism and proposes that “a resource-based economy all of the world’s resources are held as the common heritage of all of Earth’s people, thus eventually outgrowing the need for the artificial boundaries that separate people.” The application of technology is the answer to all of the world’s problems, including war, famine and poverty.
